The Birth of Tech Matchers

The idea for Tech Matchers came from Ruben’s father’s company, Rukatech. “We received so many requests for technicians that we decided to create a platform to make it easier to find them,” says Ruben. This idea grew into what Tech Matchers is today.

What Makes Tech Matchers Unique?

While other companies actively search for technicians for their clients, Tech Matchers primarily sees itself as a meeting place. “We are a platform where clients and freelancers can find each other,” Job explains. “We also offer extras like insurance and tools through the website, making it easier for freelancers to get started.”

Finding freelancers was relatively easy for Ruben and Job due to their background in the technical field. “We have a large network and many direct contacts,” Ruben explains. Collaborating with clients also went smoothly thanks to existing relationships.

The Personal Connection

Ruben and Job have known each other personally for years. “I’m dating his sister,” Job says, laughing. “And through his father’s company, I became more involved.” This personal element strengthens their collaboration and the bond with their team.

Challenges and Future Vision

The biggest challenge for Tech Matchers was mediating between freelancers and clients. “Now, we have short lines of communication and direct contact, which solves many challenges,” says Ruben. They are optimistic but cautious about the future of the freelance market. “There’s a huge shortage of technical staff, and we can help meet that demand with our platform,” says Job.

What’s Fun About Working with Technicians?

“They’re blunt and not too serious, but they work hard,” says Job. “We work with different nationalities, and we learn a lot from that.”
